A pair of duprasi gerbils, _cute animal.jpg

 duprasi

these unusual AFRICAN GERBILS are cute and friendly

Duprasi are also known as the fat-tailed gerbil and sometimes as Doops. Some people consider them a missing link between gerbils and hamsters. Their wild habitat in Northern Sahara (North-western Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria) is composed of sparsely vegetated sands sheets and rocky deserts. They are naturally insectivorous and would live in sandy burrows in the wild.

 our Duprasi

Daphne

Beautiful Daphne is a beautiful Duprasi who came to live at Our Amazing Animal World when her previous owner was no longer able to look after her. She was very insecure and unsure of herself shying away from any interaction. Fast forward a year and Daphne is a beautifully friendly Duprasi who enjoys a cuddle on a welcoming lap or in her bespoke snuggle sack.
