MILLIPEDE
these unusual AFRICAN MILLIPEDES are fascinatingly friendly

Although the name millipede means “thousand-feet,” the giant African millipede only has about 300 to 400 legs. The largest of the 10,000 species of millipede, these gentle giants call the rain forests of Africa home.

The giant African millipede calls the rain forests of subtropical western Africa home. Giant African millipedes love warm, dark places on the rain forest floor. The most common hiding places include areas near rotting wood and burrows where they can curl up and hide.

our MILLIPEDES
Maggie + Millie
We have a couple of millipedes that are both around a couple of years old. They moved into HQ after a local school was unable to look after them when the teacher who had them in the classroom sadly left.

They are very friendly and enjoy exploring a welcoming hand or arm.
