A HANDS ON EXPERIENCE FOR SEN ANIMAL LOVERS WHO ENJOY INTERACTING with AMAZING ANIMALS
SEN SCHOOLS
animal encounter

These innovative, interactive hands-on sessions are designed by Jerry who is a fully qualified teacher of 20 years experience working with children with special needs. Uniquely tailored to SEN classes and groups in an educational setting we bring a selection of animals with different sensory qualities to provide a hands on experience with assisted animal therapy.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We will arrive at the agreed venue 10 minutes before the start time as we don't have any lengthy set up times - this is to ensure that the animals are in their carriers for the least amount of time necessary.

This is perfect for a hall or large activities room where the children can spread out and not be too distracted by each other. The animals will be with the handlers on blankets, on the floor, giving each child time to build confidence and interact individually and with the group. We will also help the children to feed some of the animals where possible.
