a sanctuary for unloved and unwanted animals that have found themselves in need a forever home.
Our Sanctuary
Welcome to Our Sanctuary
Nestled in the heart of Scaynes Hill, West Sussex, our unique, self-funded sanctuary is home to over 100 rescued animals, each with their own remarkable story. Founded in 2015, we quickly recognised the urgent need for a safe haven for animals that are often overlooked, forgotten, or unloved.
Our sanctuary is housed in a historic building dating back to 1856, which has transformed from a former school and church into a place of healing and hope. Since opening our doors, we’ve rescued and rehomed over 300 animals, ensuring each one receives the love, care, and respect they deserve.
Here, history and compassion come together. While the building once educated young minds, it now serves to teach people of all ages about the importance of animal welfare and compassionate living.
We invite you to join us in making a lasting difference — not only in the lives of these animals, but in the hearts of all who visit.

Support for our sanctuary is crucial
It costs over £10,000 each month to keep our sanctuary running and provide the essential care our animals need. As a self-funded organisation, we deeply appreciate any support you can offer — whether through donations or by supplying vital items such as fresh straw, hay, animal food, and blankets.
You can explore the many ways to help by visiting our Amazon Wishlist or our Donation Page.
Every contribution truly makes a difference in the lives of the animals we care for. Thank you for being part of their journey to safety and love.
