Rehoming
Animals looking for a forever home
We obviously cannot keep every animal we rescue and some would really benefit from having a new loving forever home. Each animal we help here at the sanctuary is loved and cared for so we will need to be assured that any proposed home has the same level of commitment to the animals future.

We will insist on seeing a suitable set up for the animal and an understanding of the animals/species needs.
We don't set a rehoming fee but do ask for a donation to help cover costs and help us continue the work of the rescue.

If you are interested in offering any of the animals on this page a forever home please do get in touch.
Bertie & Joe the chinchillas
These 2 lovely chinchillas have had a tough time of it with multiple owners and bullying but are now fully bonded. Bertie especially can be quite fussy with interaction and has often removed parts of his fur when stressed.

They need a very loving, patient forever home that will help them with their ongoing lives.

They are both roughly 11-13 years old (chinchillas live up to 20)

Nik Nak Bearded Dragon
Nik Nak is a large character who will need a confident owner. When he arrived he was extremely nervous but he is much calmer these days and happy to be handled.

Estimated to be under 5 years old.

He will need a good set up which you can read about using the link below.

Leo the hamster
We found a very sad looking Leo the Syrian hamster in the local Pets at Home rescue section. He had been bought as a pet but then returned when it didn't work out. He is roughly 6-7 months old as of April 2025.
Hamsters need much more than people think -the enclosure should have a minimum floor area of 100cm x 50cm (39.4" x 19.7"). While this is a minimum, bigger is always better for hamsters, who enjoy exploring and running. The enclosure should also be tall enough to accommodate at least 12 - 13.5 inch wheel.

I have found a home
Sam the corn snake
This gorgeous corn snake is around 4-5 years old. The previous owner was unsure of the sex. Sam is viv defensive but much calmer once being held outside his viv.

He/she has had multiple homes so would benefit from a forever home so ideally not someone who may tire of them. Corn snakes live up to around 20 years.

Sammy the Hermann's tortoise
Gorgeous Sammy moved into the sanctuary in 2022 when he was no longer wanted by his previous owner. He is roughly 3 years old and so will need an indoor set up until he is old enough to be outside at 5.

Please make sure you research the needs of a young tortoise and get in touch for more information if you feel you can offer him a home.

I have found a home
Pegasus the Dove
Pegasus was used as part of a magic act for over 6 years. When the magician retired he asked us to take him in here. He struggled to fly and found landing even more difficult. He has improved tremendously but does get nervous in flight still.

We aren't 100% sure on re-homing him has he has settled well however if the perfect home arrises we would certainly look at this.
