An animal that people are often scared of
Ferrets are an animal that so many have a strong negative idea about and seem to miss their beautiful, friendly and affectionate nature.
It is unclear exactly when ferrets were first domesticated, but the critters have a long and storied history. Greek scholar Aristotle in 350 BCE wrote about a ferret and it is believed Egyptians even kept them as pets. Most believe the ferret was exclusively a lower-class pet, which would explain the lack of documentation on them through history.

Elmo
Elmo moved to HQ in 2020 when his owner was unable to look after him anymore. He was quite a feisty boy but has relaxed and chilled overtime and now enjoys meeting people. Ferrets aren't usually a cuddly animal and more one that you can stroke and watch run around.
