Visit our rescue animals in their own home here at the sanctuary.
Our Amazing Animal World is a small animal sanctuary run by ourselves, Mark & Jerry. HQ is a unique creation run from our home which is a 19th century school/church building homing 100+ rescue animals of all different shapes and sizes. Each of these amazing souls live as part of our weird and wonderful family and there are some truly unique characters.
We are in West Sussex in a village called Scaynes Hill - RH17 7NY
PLEASE NOTE
Due to the building being very old (and relatively packed with animals) there is sadly not suitable room for wheelchairs. We hope to open a centre one day that can be all inclusive but we currently need to work with what we have.
There are various ways to visit us and these are as follows:
Intimate VIP experience
Be our VIP special guest for an exclusive tour of HQ and choose up to 6 animal residents to engage with for a more intimate encounter.
You can choose to see a range of mammals and reptiles that live here as part of the family. Maybe you want to cuddle a chinchilla, feed a room full of guinea pigs, get up and close to lizards or feed some meerkats?
PLEASE NOTE: The sanctuary can be a noisy space with some of the noisier (sometimes screaming) parrots and with over 100+ rescue animals living here there will obviously been many animal smells so children who may struggle with sensory issues could find it too much.
PLEASE NOTE: The visits here are for animal lovers to enjoy an intimate animal handling experience. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult whether they are intending to participate or not. We do not offer free spaces for accompanying adults or relatives as we do not have the space for this and this is strictly to raise money to help the animals at the sanctuary.

Meerkat experience
Meet some of our meerkats up close and personal spending time with them in their enclosure.
You’ll be getting up close and feeding these unique animals, learning all about their species and their individual personalities. They’re inquisitive creatures, and will most likely use you as a climbing frame! Make sure to bring your camera, as there’ll be plenty of photo opportunities throughout.
They’re amazing. Simples. Make their enrichment treat and then sit in with our male meerkats to see them enjoy it. They may even jump on your lap or use you as a climbing frame.

Small birthday experience
Up to 6 children can celebrate a birthday here at the sanctuary meeting the animals.
The perfect birthday for animal lovers where the birthday child (along with up to 5 friends) receive a tour of the sanctuary while interacting with various animals. The perfect way to learn about the various species that live here at the sanctuary and interacting with them.
