How does it work?
Welcome to our animal rescue headquarters, uniquely situated in a charming old church! Here, we invite you to experience the joy of and interacting with our wonderful rescue animals. Your visit will begin around a large table, where we’ll introduce you to some of the friendliest animals that are eager for your attention. We believe in a hands-on approach, allowing you to learn about these incredible creatures through touch, smell, and even holding them. After our initial introduction, we will take a stroll through a couple of other rooms that house a variety of fascinating animals, including reptiles, mammals, and colorful birds. Finally, we’ll venture outside to meet some of our delightful residents, such as the playful Meerkats, fluffy Rabbits, and curious Turkeys. Join us for an unforgettable experience that connects you with these amazing animals!
Mark is usually the handler during our HQ visits and we aim to show visitors as many animals as we can in the allotted time. On your booking form we ask you to choose 6 animals you would like to meet so that we can get an understanding of your animal preferences.
SENSORY ISSUES: The sanctuary can be a noisy space with some of the noisier (sometimes screaming) parrots. With over 100+ rescue animals living here there are obviously many different animal smells so those with sensory issues could find it too much.
WHEELCHAIRS: Due to the building being very old (and relatively packed with animals) there is sadly not suitable room for wheelchairs. We hope to open a centre one day that can be all inclusive but we currently need to work with what we have.

Reviews
Today we visited the sanctuary. What an amazing experience. My 6 year old has ASD and was in his element. Mark and his son were so patient and passionate about all the animals. I would highly recommend a visit, and I can see us going again! Thank you!

We took our daughter (and a friend) to HQ for a VIP visit, WOW, we had the best time! Mark was welcoming, friendly and funny from the word go, as was his lovely Son. So knowledgeable and gave us an experience we will never forget. To be so hands on with the animals and see first hand the wonderful work that happens was a total privilege. It’s clear the love and passion that goes into caring for the animals and educating people in a fun and accessible way. My daughter has always loved all animals, and to see her so involved and hands on with a wide variety of amazing animals meant the world.

Visited today and had an amazing time. Mark was so lovely as usual and we loved seeing the animals and how well cared for and loved they are. We enjoyed hearing the stories of how they were rescued to live there.
Our son has special needs and he completely felt at home interacting with the animals. These animals have been rescued from various situations and now can have their forever home with the two kindest people we have ever met. We highly recommend a visit.
