a sanctuary for unloved and unwanted animals that have found themselves in need a forever home.
Our Sanctuary
We are a unique self-funded sanctuary homing over 100 rescue animals which come from a variety of backgrounds
We began the Sanctuary in 2015 when it became clear to us that there were so many animals that were falling through the cracks for one reason or another. We all know of amazing places like Battersea but when it comes to many other creatures beyond dogs and cats there were sadly only limited places offering help.

To date we have rescued in the region of over 300 animals and make sure they have lived or living their best life with us.

Where is the sanctuary?
We are based in West Sussex in a small area just outside Haywards Heath called Scaynes Hill. The building dates back to 1856 when it was the first school in Scaynes Hill and served a dual purpose as a school during the week and a church on Sundays. The school remained until 1981and the main parish was complete to become The Parish Church of St. Augustine.

These days it is home to over 100+ rescue animals from all different backgrounds living with us here. It seems fitting that the history of the school remains with us now educating all ages on the importance of animal care and welfare.

How to help
The sanctuary costs thousands on average over £10,000 every month to run so all help is hugely appreciated. We always need fresh straw, hay, animal food and blankets. We do have an amazon Wishlist and a page where you can donate. You can look at ways to help using the following link:
